When I Could See**
That you are happy
With a smile on your face.
I would see you sometimes walking
With your little one in a sunny place.
I'm sure you look so happy
With a loving smile on your face.
I hope you are singing
To the music you love.
I would see you sometimes dancing
With the little one in your arms.
And that she makes you happy
With her sweet childlike charms.
I hope you are healthy
And your heart feels free.
That's what I hoped I would see.
With a lot of joy, without regret,
Nothing grieving in your head.
So happy as the time we ones met.
When I could see.

When the Music Plays
When the music plays,
The music of our days,
I realize how swiftly
Time has slipped away.
Some songs still belong to you.
For one brief moment,
I almost believe it's true—
Our love was never meant to end.
It's hard to find
The words my heart would say,
Because I don't know anymore
If your love has faded away.
Yet every melody I hear
Still softly speaks your name,
And for a little while, my dear,
Nothing feels the same.
And when the music fades,
and silence fills the room,
I’m left with all the memories
and a love that still finds room.
For somewhere deep inside my heart,
where time can’t make it disappear,
the music still belongs to us—
and somehow, you are still here.

I Had to Smile
I had to smile, for sure I had to,
Though sometimes I still feel so sad,
When I remember the time we met—
No, it's not something I regret.
The more we run out of time,
Yours and mine, yours and mine,
The more I feel what we have lost.
Believe me, it came at a cost.
And then you were gone without a sign,
Like a shadow fading from mine.
But one thing I know, and I always will: I loved you once.
And I love you still.
I had to smile, for sure I had to,
Though sometimes I still feel so sad,
When I remember the time we met—
No, it's not something I regret.
The more we run out of time,
Yours and mine, yours and mine,
The more I feel what we have lost.
Believe me, it came at a cost.
And then you were gone without a sign,
Like a shadow fading from mine.
But one thing I know, and I always will: I loved you once.
And I love you still.
Some days are very good,
and some are deeply sad.
I think of you intensely,
of you and me.
Somehow, you’re always there.
I know it won’t change a thing;
it’s simply how I feel.
As time passes, we grow old,
but the life we shared
we never will forget.
Some are gone; they disappear,
as if they had never been here.
That is the life we live.
And while loneliness passes by,
we remain optimistic—
at least, we try.
and some are deeply sad.
I think of you intensely,
of you and me.
Somehow, you’re always there.
I know it won’t change a thing;
it’s simply how I feel.
As time passes, we grow old,
but the life we shared
we never will forget.
Some are gone; they disappear,
as if they had never been here.
That is the life we live.
And while loneliness passes by,
we remain optimistic—
at least, we try.
