English Some questions or remarks
May I ask a question?
I have been away from this forum for some time.
Now I have come back.
I had forgotten why I had left the forum.
Now I think I remember why.
I am a bit surprised about the aggressive style of writing that I see in the German section.
Why is that so?
One gets attacked again and again and insulted again and again for no obvious reasons.
It seems there are some members here who find great joy in attacking and insulting others -
just for the fun of it.
What is your opinion about this?
Maybe things are more peaceful here in the English section?
Then I might prefer to write in the English section only.
Dear Munro,
you write exactly what I feel! But mind: there are only a few who like to attack others being full of their own importance. Just ignore them and be happy with others who are more tolerant.
I think, elderly people mostly have a lot of own experiments and feel on top of everyone else...
Just don't bother! Rosemarie
Sorry you had such a bad experience !
I think Munro -if you really like to get broad views and opinions or discuss the subject in greater detail, the "english section" isn't the best place for it.
There are just not enough people who write or read here, this too is surely one reason why "things are more peaceful "😏.
I want to mention :
most of the threads in the ST run without special occurrences.

Dear Rosemarie,
Yes, you may be right.
There may be only a few who constantly enjoy insulting others.
But they are very loud - and there is always somebody there to second them.
A little bit too much salt may ruin the whole soup.
With best wishes from Munro

Let me put it this way:
Better talk to a few who are friendly persons.
Than to a crowd that is hateful.
A few minutes ago I wrote something in the German section again.
On second thoughts I deleted it again.
No, I am not interested in constant aggression and constant hateful personal insults.
That is not what I am looking for when I enter a forum.
In my opinion it is a wrong classification to describe the ongoing discussions in the forum as hateful. Contradictions are normal and essential for a lively discussion.
However, especially when I see completely nonverbal remarks of you @Munro like "------------------------" as an answers to a comment you do not like (in the "German section"), then I think you should first consider your own behaviour before criticising others.

Hello,
im pretty new here, but it really made me sad to read your experience.
but as the other already said, the majority writes in a nice way, I hope that the fews would not scare you to write about you want.
maybe the English sector would be great place to communicate too!
