English Purpose of this subforum
Hello Yvonne and hello Bärbel,
Your advices of a boat-trip down the Danube, visiting Budapest, Prag or even the wonderful region in the Saxon Switzerland are really very tempting. But: - don't ask me why - my dear husband refuses any trip to the former "Ostblock". In these questions he is indescribably stubborn. Today I looked up Bad Schandau, which Bärbel recommended and I found it must be very beautiful there. I showed him the pictures and at once he came back with his wish to go to Scotland.
He is a very nice and affable man but some issues one just can't discuss with him.
We shall see, where the future will bring us.
Perhaps I will join you in the chat tonight. The concert I mustn't miss will only be in 11.35 p.m. on ARTE: Roma and Sinti Philharmonics.
Pity it will last until 0.30h which is too late when you have to get up in the morning. Okay - wait and see.
Bye for now - Rosemarie

May I introduce myself? I am Rosemarie, a Bavarian "primary rock" who loves travelling and reading and computering anda lot more. But as you can imagine, at my age (almost 73) my activities are a bit reduced. Never mind: I am always optimistic.
Do you want to tell a bit about yourself to get acquainted?
so - see you soon!

You can read my profile on my home page. I hope to meet you next Sunday evening in the pub/bistro in the chat.

Dear Magret,
welcome to the English-thread.
It´s very nice of you that you introduce yourself.
I live and grew up in the very nice town of Leipzig. I´ve a big family, two sons and five grandchildren at the age of 3 - 25 years old.
I have been learning English since I´m a pensioner. Therefore I still made mistakes. But today I was proud of myself because I was able to tell an English man something about his purchase and so on. He was lucky and could understood.
If you have time on Sunday in the evening, maybe you join the English chat in the "Bistro/pub" at 21pm. I do hope to be there next Sunday.
Greeting to you and altogether. Bärbel

Dear Bärbel, thank you very much for your answer!I admire you,for learning the english language.Do you find it difficult? It is so nice,to be able to talk to you.I have only one grandchild, her name is Sonja,She is 27 years old,she is very sweet,She is not married yet.We talk about everything, even problems which I would not like to discuss with my daughter When we are together,we always have lots of fun, especially when she tries to explain to me,how life goes nowadays!I would love to join the chat on sundaynight!I am looking forward talking to you! Have a nice day-Magret
Dear Magret,
I find learning Russian more difficult than English. But in the old age it´s not to easy to learn a foreign language.
Today it´s a glorious day with clear skies and sunshine.
I suppose the cold weather is behind us. I don´t like the rainy and dull weather.
See you in the evening? I try to show up (if there is no trouble)
Have a nice Sunday. Bärbel
