Hi Regina,

it`s always nice to hear from you. Meanwhile you surely
don`t play golf any longer. At least here in Bremen
it`s so rainy and extremely stormy. As long as I can
stay at home I like to listen to the wind. But when
I have to go outside it`s completely different! I can
imagine that you and your friends have a lot of fun
playing golf together. What are you doing during the
winter time? Do you meet just for talking?? Indeed
that means a lot of fun, too...

As to your request where I am singing: For many years
I have belonged to a church choir. At the moment we
are rehearsing for christmas, opuses from Saint-Saens
or Lewandowsky for example.

Have you enjoyed your renovated flat during the last
time? I wouldn`t like to lie on the floor, either!!
It`s only good that you don`t really know exactly
what expects you before you start such a renovation.
Otherwise you wouldn`t even begin with it!

Do you have any other activities during this dark
time of the year? What about reading? I just read
a book from Marcia Willett. But I have decided that
this will be the last one which I have bought from
her. The contents always are rather melancholic - or
this is what I am feeling.

Have a nice weekend!

Kind regards,
Dörte

Hi Regina,

another answer to you! Normally I am informed with an
e-mail by the ST that there is an answer for me. But
this time it didn`t happen. So I just read your former
contribution! I like it to be missed... But here I am
again!!

Like you in this forum I can just start writing. In
French it`s completely different. That`s why I haven`t
written in that forum for quite a while. Maybe I
was missed there, too??

Till the next time!

Dörte

Hi dita,

you are quite welcome to participate in our "conversations"! You wrote that you are living near
Zurich. Many years ago a friend of mine lived in
Waltenschwil. Maybe you know this small town?

Your hobby really sounds extraordinary. This summer
archery was presented by some young people at the seaside
where we spent our vacation.

Just like you and Regina I am reading a lot. But I am
not yet a grandmother. However, the following Friday
my son will become "Daddy" and my husband and I will
become grandparents!!! Unfortunately the baby doesn`t
lie in the right position so that a C-section will be
necessary. That`s why the birthday is planned exactly.
It`s a pity that you can`t see your grand-children
often. My son and my daughter-in-law don`t live as
far away as yours but I fear that anyway we won`t
see our grandson very often. But I hope that there I
am mistaken. At the moment I am really looking forward
to the birth! We all are very excited!!
We also have got a daughter. However, she isn`t yet
married and it will still take some time until she
will become a mother.

Now you know something about me, too. I hope to read
from you soon again!

Kind regards,
Dörte

Good evening to you all!

Dörte, Waltenschwil belongs to the district of Muri (Aargau) and is not in the Canton of Zurich. It's a rural village (2436 inhabitants). A factory there is producing a chocolat speciality called "Mohrenköpfe" - they are sweeter than sweet *g*.

Congratulations on becoming grandparents. Let's hope that all goes well; you will feel very proud, believe me!

Regina, we are training twice a week: Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. Before a tournament we are training a little bit more.

Golf is also a very nice sport - we have got some lovely golf courses near Zurich, but one has nearly no chance to get a membership.

Hey, Regina, you are joking! You are still young - my father is 93!

* * * * * * * * * * *

Your thread inspired me to organize a "Flying teacher". With this person I will have conversation, but also written lessons. I am starting on the 1th of December 2010. This is because I am returning to a 60% paying employment in January 2011. So I would not have time to continue in this forum.

Thanks for your hospitality.
Take care - dita

Hi Regina, hello Dörte,

fortunately you are wrong with stating that no one is corresponding with you.

I have been (and I still am) kept busy by means of different things, fo example I had to absolve some regularly medical tests which all ended with OK, we, my wife and I have been absent for visiting our youngest son and his family far away up in the North (near Hamburg). They live in a little village, some 600 kms away from us.

Besides this I am preparing a little music project which efforts more time then I felt necessary before starting this project.
And I still have to work up my photographs from September and and and....

I definitely have too much fun with the correspondence to your address, so I'm sure it will, seen from my side, be continued.
So, please forgive me for writing not too often at the time being, won't you?

My kindest regards to you both and, if still "on board", to Dita

Hi, Joe,nice to read something of you.Yes, I know, you have much to do. Nevertheless I am very pleased that you will stay in this forum. Dörte and I, and naturally, now you, we are the only one in this English group.Till now. Dörte write in the french forum too. And I am a bit jealous about her very good french. ( and English too) Unfortunately I am too lazy to learn seriously. The day is too short for doing all what I want to do. You know, pensioners have never enough time.

Dörte, I hope you are well and enjoy your baby grand-child.It's so wonderful that you can participate of the life from your children. Have a nice week. Regina

Hello dita,

thank you for your information about Waltenschwil.
I can`t remember that there already was a factory
producing "Mohrenköpfe" at the time when I spent
some weeks in that village. Otherwise I surely
had eaten some of those "sweets"!! As my nick
already says I like chocolate very much...

It`s a pity that you won`t have time to write in
this forum any longer. We would have liked to give
hospitality to you much more longer!! Good luck
with your "flying teacher". But I can`t really
imagine how this works. Do you have private lessons?

Meanwhile I am a "real" grandmother! Moritz was
born on Friday and mother and son feel well. He
is such a cute baby. This morning my husband and
I went to see him and our daughter-in-law in hospital.
Tomorrow they will go home and a completely new life
will begin for the young family - with short nights!

Maybe we will read from you again. I hope so!

Kind regards,
Dörte
