English Purpose of this subforum

Hello girls,
Yes, Rosemarie I also cook to much when we celebrate a birthday party. The children get the leftover from the meal and eat it the next day.
Fortunately I´ve no problems with my weight. During my illness I lost weight. I´m trying to put on weight. I want to weight 58 kg again.
There was a thunder and lightning last night. Today it´s very warm and humid.
I get treatment with mudpack. It´s very hot and not pleasant.

Lucky you are only weighing 58 kg. I put 70 on the scale. Ist OK but some more and the trousers get tight
I used to be 169 tall now only 165. Where have the cm gone too?? I know

when I wight 58 kg, there´s nothing to it. I´m only 160 tall. I´ve been shrunk about 2 cm.
As yet I didn´t achieve improvement with the mudpack and treatment. Next week I will get a second prescription from the physician.
Yoli, when will you going on your trip to Elsass? Let us know.

As a "charter" member of the Sunday English Chat, I was somewhat taken aback by being called "strange". Now, if the purpose of this subforum, at least partly, is learning, I think it would be helpful if the more glaring errors in a post are corrected by another participant (using "antworten"). What do you think about that?

HOw nice of you to join us here as well. The sunday evening is mostly used to watch TV as a Family. So lets Keep in touch here as well.
There was another "strange to me" gentlemen from Ohio. I met him for the first time.
Friends again? Has your daughter made contact with the chappie from the Velumount?

Now I just remeber that UK english and Canadian english may have different meanings in certain words. Strange may mean odd/ funny not haha.

Hi Bärbel and hi all.
We leave for Elsass on Tuesday next. I do hope the weather will be dry at least because we want to take the motor scooter with us. You can make beautiful trips there.
Did you have to heat the mudpacks?
Sometimes cool pads are more helpful by pains. Let us know how you fair.

I think you´re right. The mudpacks are to hot and it didn´t turn out well.
On Tuesday I want to see the doc. I hope for another treatment.
You´re busy with prepare your trip. When you´re on holiday do you occasionelly surfe the internet?

Dear Bärbel
I had the same Problem on my back. A lot of of pain and someone told me to put on heat. That was wrong. Or partly wrong! You can alternate with first cool then warmth. That helped me.
I do hope you get proper help soon.
IN the end I had to have an OP. My spinal canal was narrowed and even closed in a part.The OP helped a lot but I still get aches at times.
