English how about just conversation?
You Dears
I will be with you again soon. At the time I read what you write but the energy to answer is missing. Please carry on.
Just this! I fully agree with your daughter. It is the THING you travel otherwise than aeroplane.
Skys I will come back to you. I find you interesting!
Hugs to you both
Health is so important. Our daughter tries her very best to stay healthy or at least to lead a healthy life, or even better to do all she can to keep the earth healthy thus to keep human life on this planet possible. So she only eats healthy food produced by sustainable means. No meat, no fish, however she accepts dairy products.
She uses a bicycle or public transport services, for example when she wants to go to the fitness studio in town.
Sometimes it is difficult for us to understand her ways, but maybe she is right, She says, soon there will be night trains from Brussels to Berlin again, so travellers will not have to get on a plane for faster covering the distance.
Maybe she is right. We should follow her example.
Dear Yoli, please recover from your health problems soon.

Thank you for the idea of pain therapist. I phoned one today. She thought a few physio hours would do me good. Well I had a lot of such and need some different help. Maybe I have to wait for the specialist who infiltrates cortisone on the 16th of August. I am just a bit frustrated.
@yoli , what a pity you are still having such pains - i really hope you will recover soon.
And thank you for your kind words !
I remembered one of my favourite poems which I would like to send you.
I learned it by heart and i had often been reciting the poem while climbing up a steep hill with the mountain bike, just for the purpose not to forget the poem and to have a little distraction of the effort ;)
The author i don't know and when I had found the poem there was left out the third passage. So, probably the original version of him are with all four stanzas.
Will first put in here and later in the other thread, too.
But now here for you:
Don’t quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the depts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might has won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man.
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that
You must not quit.

Thank you, you have brought up the poem for me again, too :)
Perhaps you'll like - or even already know it ?
Concerning the pain therapists - may be they have a long waiting list, yes.
I can understand that you are not happy about the suggestion of another physio after a physio after a physio after a physio after a physio.
But I'd like to tell you a little anecdote:
Once my mother had a physio and he broke her a rib. Of course, she had not welcomed afterwards physios and avoided them...
But last year she got a physio (and at first she wasn't happy about it at all) - but he could take off the touching pain of her legs which she had experienced for many years.
So, what i mean is just, no physio is like the other. And if there is a merely a little chance for help, why don't try out while you have to wait anyway ?
Wish you all the best, yoli !
Maybe she is right. We should follow her example.

oh, yes, i totally agree and would really like so many people to understand the urgency !
in former times i could imagine a reincarnation but now i only hope we won't be reborn... - despite of all this wonderful nature with all the wonderful organism, even the smallest single cell is so great !
Skys and Jacare4 you two are such nice people. Lucky to know you!
That poem I do love of you skys! Thank you! It gives one some courage to carry on. Mind you that has never been in question! I am a fighter. I just get fed up some time, but who wouldn’t. I have been trying to get help since July 23.
Just to rapport… I will go to my doctor this coming Monday and tell him the long long story and wonder if he will tell me once more to just take pain killers. Then I will shake him a bit…hihihi.
Emil, my husband and I have found out something which helps. We cut up a piece of rubber to a ball and now we found a place to put it on the part of the neck where we feel is the piece of vertebrae that is not in place anymore. It helps and I feel I might just be able to wait for the 16th of august till I get my injection.
Now to be honest I am not used to talk about myself. Usually I listen to others and their problems. Once a nurse , always a nurse J
Thanks for your nice answer. Had been some days offline and now just dropped in here again. In the meanwhile I started to learn the English grammar again - a very good idea, have already found some and some more and again a few more mistakes ;)
I had heard about a rubber or a ball in the neck alreadys once before (long ago) - hope it will get better and better for you and your doc will find a good solution. *i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
yes, the poem i like very much, too. from time to time such words can be sometimes a nice little help.
"The nature of a nurse" - i know what you mean ;)
Take care and will read you soon again.

your lovely poem Don't quit was from this author.
I follow him on FB
Hello Yoli,
hm..., well, now i'm really too doubtful…
I think, the author of the poem "don't quit" was Edgar Albert Guest because of e.g. these reasons:
- the poem was listed under his works in Wikipedia (and not under the ones of Whittier),
- the name of the author I had found on a different page before,
- your J. G. Whittier had lived 1807- 1892 and as your last poem shows it too, he used in this period of time a different kind of style and spelling,
- and I cannot imagine you following him on FB - may be it is a fan or somebody else but not the original person, I don't think his ghost is still hiking ;-)
But of course I do not *know* it for sure, it's just my *let's say* assumption.
So if anybody found another information I'll be interested in, too, of course :-)
(And I hope you're not already a ghost, too ! :)
