English how about just conversation?
Happy to be joining the conversation as well!
Hi Claudia
Hi Udo
Hi everybody else.
Welcome Claudia
I am sure that having to go out with a dog is useful and of course enjoyable.
I myself had two dogs. One in England a cairn terrier! His name was Simon.
What a character! Normally in the evening when we sat in our chairs talking, be it with friends or on our own he joined us.
He also had an armchair. He sat in it on his bum and put his paws on the side of the chair. Can you imagine him?
When someone spoke Simon looked at the person. When the person has finished Simon gave his comment in form of a nice growl. The he fixed the next talker and so on it went the whole time.
As he got older he got a doggie sort of Alzheimer. He used to make a little round in the garden and stayed there.
At that time he used to go out and get lost. Many, many times I had to go and fetch him in a dog’s home. He used to be cross with me, sat there with his head towards a corner and I sort of had to apologies to him that I did not come earlier. He lived to be a great age of 17 and died naturally. My beloved Simon!
About Goldie I write the next time.
dogs are wonderful animals and when I was young and when our children were little, we used ot have dogs, sometimes two, at other times only one, and in one year it happened that we had twelve puppies to look after additionally. I was not easy to find good families for the doggies.
We went for a walk twice every day. That was good exercise for us and for the animals. And thus we came into contact with many other people that walked with their dogs.Only a few minutes´ walking from our home, there is a small forest where we loved to go.
But in recent years we don´t have dogs anymore. I even developed a phobia against dogs. I feel uneasy when they come too near me, especially when they are not on a lead.

Hi Gisela,
just go on - you will surely receive your answers - sometimes from me too.
Have a pleasant Sunday! Rosemarie
To get answers you first have to ask questions. So I'm asking you: How has corona changed your personal life ? As to me, I 've been a member of an older people choir and I have not seen my choire mates for more than a year and I miss singing very much. do you have similar eyperiences ?
Regards Manfred
Singing in a choir is a great hobby, which I enjoyed all my life. But getting older my voice disappeared and I stopped singing there some years ago - though I miss it very much. We have a few choirs in our town - but I don't apply for being a member - I wouldn't be sufficiently good enough for my own self-awareness.
So - that's it! Rosemarie
I was singing in a choir as well. Mind you we were singing dialect Ticino songs.
Yes it is true the voice changes as one gets older. We had 2 ladies over 80 and one Gent 84. Both valuable members!

Just so you could have a look at the choir.
Manfred what sort of songs do/did you sing?
Dear Friends
We are preparing to go away with the camper again next week.
Preparing is a good word. We needed an equivalent of the TÜV
So we put the camper in a garage to let them have a look at it.
We gave them al pot ot time. They cut it very tight though and let us have the mopbil back just a few days before we wanted to move off. Of course a few things they were not happy with. So we had to let some more things me done to it and fond another appointment.
Monday last at 8 o’clock.
Terrible! We hate getting up early. But we had no choice. We got there and.. nobody else was there. The date did not get through to the garage. We were more than a little bit put out.
Now we have another appointment for the 13th of this month.
Let’s hope all will be ok. If YES, we move on towards France. The place Aix – les – bains. We will be there 3 weeks. The motor bike will be with us as well.
I will not be looking into here often.
But there is still time till then. Just to let you know in advance.
In the afternoons I watch on TV the bicyle race "Tour de France" . Comfortably seated I can follow the race listening to the voice of the commentator and enjoying the views from the helicopter and other cameras of spetacular landscapes.I pity the tour participants that they have to be racing all the time, that they cannot see anything I can see and learn about the historical places they cycle through at the maximum speed their bicycles and legs can do. .
Aix certainly is a good place to relax in. Will you go swimming in the nearby lake? Will you use your bike to go to even higher places in the Savoie Alps?
Good luck.
