Dear Yoli

I love looking at the pictures of the decorations  that bring happiness into your home. Only four more weeks. Father Christmas will be sitting on the hugh sleigh laden with millions of parcels, letters and good wishes.. And Rudolph the reindeer´s nose will glow again, not from liqueurs, of course not,  but from exhaustion. What a job, delivering everything to the correct addresses. On time. 

Earlier this afternoon I got our Christmas things out. They had been hidden for eleven months in the lowest drawer of the chest in the dining-room. It is a Hummel nativity scene. There is lovely Mary, Joseph the carpenter, the three Magi, shepherds, sheep, little angels, and last not least, the newborn baby surrounded by an ox and a donkey. Unfortunately all oour children and grandchildren don´t live with us anymore. Not even nearby. But we remember the happy days when little hands and young voices helped us preparing for Christmas.
