English France's socialists face collapse over pact with hard left

As a matter of fact the only way for the anti-capitalist left (La France Insoumise) to get the majority in the next national assembly (Assemblée Nationale) is to seek for another party alliance in order to inhibit Macrons party the so called LREM (La République En Marche) to dominate the natiional assembly thus giving to Macron full powers.
My knowledge about French policy is not good - because of my complete lack of Frrench. But I have great sympathy for the young politician who dares to develope new ideas apart from being bounded nationalistic .
I am glad, that he is so important for the European policy - together with the German, Portogease and some more sensible politicions.

France’s Socialist party and Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s hard-left La France Insoumise (LFI) party have reached an agreement in principle to form an alliance for June’s parliamentary election. The coalition pact, which the Greens and Communists agreed to earlier this week, is an attempt to deprive Emmanuel Macron of a majority in parliament and block his pro-business agenda after he was re-elected president in April.
Going to be like a matter iof survival for the french socialists who have been so hardly oppressed those last years.
